I love people that send Urgent emails. You know what people I'm talking about. Every email you get from them is Urgent! So it's at the top of your email list with a big exclamation point. If you're really lucky the exclamation point is red. What these people have done is confused Urgent! with Important!Urgent is for stuff like, "Hey there's a meeting in a half an hour and I'm not sure you got the notice!" or "Get the latest virus updates because there's a really nasty virus going around!" Urgent is not for stuff that you think is really, really, REALLY, important. You know why? Because everybody else who sent me an email probably thinks that their crap is really important too.
And it probably is, to them or to you, and most likely if it's important to you, it's also important to me. However, it's not URGENT!
I also appreciate people who CC: their manager on every email they ever send. Especially when they're also Urgent!
