Although I am a dedicated
Dallas Cowboys fan, I have to send my condolences to all the fans of the Philadelphia Eagles after last night's loss to the Carolina Panthers in the
NFC Championship Game.
Well, maybe not to all Eagles fans. Just the ones who aren't EXTREMELY annoying, including my good friend Amy.
It must be heartbreaking to see your team get 1 step away from going to the
Superbowl and be denied, 3 times in a row.
I understand that injuries are a fundamental part of the
National Football League, but I also understand that it has to be aggravating to think about "what could have been" if it weren't for your best players not being at 100%.
I want to say, that although I didn't root for the Eagles, I have to give them props, they had a good year. And to fans like my friend Amy, I say, "There's always next year."
Heck, I was saying that like 2 weeks ago.

Thanks for your condolences Chris. I have to admit that it is extremely depressing to have a 3rd shot at it and completely drop it (much like Pinkston and the football yesterday, evidently he doesn't know he's supposed to catch it). Honestly, my heart was broken last year, this year I just sat there because I couldn't imagine the Eagles actually making it to the SuperBowl (I'd crap myself) but at the same time I couldn't imagine them losing that NFC Championship game AGAIN.
Sad to say, but I think the Eagles are on the decline, we're going to lose too many key players for this coming year. Good news for Chris though because as much as I don't like the Cowboys, they made an astounding comeback this year and are on the way up.
Yet again, another SuperBowl I don't care about this year...

I'm not an Eagles fan, but I think they'd have 3 Super Bowl rings if they had *one* true WR. Both championship games were a letdown this year in comparison to the wildcard games...usually it is the other way around.
I'll be cheering for the Patriots, I guess, but if Carolina as the underdog wins, I won't be surprised or angered. None of the teams I was pulling for made it to the big game. They were in order:
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Green Bay Packers
- Indianapolis Colts
The latter of which is going to have to decide whether to franchise

A merchant in Baghdad sent his servant to the market. The servant returned, trembling and frightened. The servant told the merchant, "I was jostled in the market, turned around, and saw Death.
"Death made a threatening gesture, and I fled in terror. May I please borrow your horse? I can leave Baghdad and ride to Samarra, where Death will not find me."
The master lent his horse to the servant, who rode away, to Samarra.
Later the merchant went to the market, and saw Death in the crowd. "Why did you threaten my servant?" He asked.
Death replied,"I did not threaten your servant. It was merely that I was surprised to see him here in Baghdad, for I have an appointment with him tonight in Samarra."
