Well, there were some interesting games this week. I was hoping that the Jets could come through and beat the Patriots but that didn't work out so well for me. I did manage to go against everybody and pick Jacksonville to beat Indianapolis. (The kailden pick of the week!)While I picked Philadelphia to win, I was rooting for Cleveland to beat them in overtime, but it wasn't meant to be. Who will be the first team to beat Philly? Pittsburgh maybe? Or will the Ravens beat them to it? That week (Week #9) may be the first week that not everyone picks the Eagles.
This week was the first week that the tiebreaker was used. On Monday night we had a three-way tie between bdbasom, kailden, and tsnyder. Since everybody picked the same team the outcome of the game wasn't as significant as the total score. The Bengals whooped the Broncos 23-10. Since everyone involved in the tie went over the total score (33) the winner was the player with the closest number.
Congratulations tsnyder (Todd) on your win in Week #7 of the football pool.
In the future I hope to have the number of weeks won included in the standings page.
Something to consider for next year would be bonus points awarded to the weekly winner that would help your overall standings. If you have any thoughts on that, please reply to this comment.
Hope everybody is having fun! There's plenty more football to be played!
