I have held many a discussion with one of the power users on this site about blog activity or lack thereof. While certain parts of the site flourish, at different times, the blogging area, the part you are reading right now, leaves something to be desired. I've always wanted to write. I think about writing a lot. Unfortunately, I don't actually write, I just think about it.My lack of activity really came to stare me in the face when I decided that I wanted to implement a slight change in format. I noticed on other blogs that posts were organized into monthly collections. On a typical blog site, you will see all blog posts for the current month. You may also see a tally of posts for each past month. I wanted to do something like that for my site, and then I realized that once I put the code into play, all posts from my front page would disappear, because the latest post is from September.
To implement the code change that I want, I needed to post something in the current month. Now, this also means that I will have to post more regularly. At some point I would like to write something at least once each day.
Anyone who is reading this now can hopefully look forward to an improvement in content, as well as an improvement in my writing style.
