Football Pool - Week #2

Sorry it has taken me a couple days to comment on the results of week #2. I won. But don't be discouraged there are plenty more weeks of football to come, and I'll try not to win every week!

Seriously, there was some good competition right up until the last Sunday game. Since Philadelphia was playing the Vikings on Monday night, that game was pretty much a non-event, as far as the pool was concerned.
I'm working on adding some more features to the pool, such as week-to-week scoring, and a comparison feature so that you can easily see how you did against other competitors as well as special pick selections. If there is something you'd like to see, just let me know and I'll most likely add it.
I will also start mailing out a reminder to people who don't have their picks in for the week. The reminder will most likely be on Friday, because that's the last day some people will see their email before the games.
I hope everyone is enjoying the competition and the football season as much as I am.

saboleyler is the winner for week #1 in the football pool, with 12/16 picks. Good job! The week was interesting up to and including the last game of the week.
As of kick-off time on Monday night it was neck and neck between bdbasom (Blake) and saboleyler (Chad/Christianne). bdbasom had Carolina and saboleyler had Green Bay... final score 24-14 Green Bay.
In other news the cats both had 6 good picks this week, and everybody scored better than my feline buddies.
You may notice when making your picks that one team or another will be highlighted. The highlighted team denotes who www.vegas.com has as the favorite.
And finally, what's up with Cleveland beating the Ravens 20-3? No matter... Everyone picked Baltimore, even the cats.

Football Pool In Progress

Hello everybody,
I just wanted to get the word out that I'm putting together a football pool on my website. The first week is this weekend and the first game is 9/9/2004 Thursday night at 9pm.
The ability to make picks is already done on the site, if you have registered and are logged in. If not, you will need to do that first here:

The picks are straight win/lose kind of picks and the tie breaker will be a total points pick for the Monday night game. Meaning if the Monday night game score is 14-7 your tie breaker total should be as close to 21 as you can get without going over. In the event that everyone goes over, then it will be closest total that wins the tiebreaker.
I will be adding charts and comments and other fun stuff just as soon as I can but for now the picks part should be working correctly.
If you know anybody else that might be interested please let them know all about it.
You will need to make your picks at minimum 2 hours before the first game in any week. So for this week, you have to make your picks before 7pm tomorrow night.
