The
deck project is almost finished. To celebrate the occasion, and to take advantage of the last fading days of summer, we're going to hold a party at our house on the new deck. The date is Saturday, August 27th and we're planning to start at around 6:30pm. If you are reading this and you know where I live (or know how to contact one of us) then you are invited to the party.
Children are very much invited. We have a swingset/jungle gym type of contraption in our yard, and we'll be inflating the
BOUNCE HOUSE for the rugrats to play in, so bring the tikes.
If you do plan on coming, please contact either Angela or myself to let us know how many people are attending. If you would like to bring something, we're recommending appetizers, side dishes, and desserts.
We look forward to seeing everyone, and we hope you're having a great summer!

The party came and went. We had many more people show up for the party than we expected I guess. Angela estimates that there were around 70+ people there, including children. Wow.
We have some of the worst weather luck in the world. I can't believe that it started to rain just when the party was supposed to kick off. Well, that's the way I guess it goes sometimes.
We hope that everyone had a good time despite the weather and the cramped quarters. Thanks to everyone who brought food! Special thanks to Gene and Blake who brought the beer! I guess my estimate of beer drinking folk was a little off, because I think the keg got kicked at like 9pm. Kudos to my wife and my mom, who made a beer run so that we could keep playing beer pong. Kevin, thanks for cooking. That was awesome. Art, those wings kicked butt. We had many compliments. Brett and Jessica, your table and umbrella set was a real life saver.
Because of the huge crowd, I know that Angela and I felt guilty that we couldn't spend more time with each and every person who came. When you have that many people show up things like that will happen.
I did manage to take some
pictures and some video, although most of it is in the garage during Amy and Kate's beer pong dynasty.
Thanks to everyone who came, and once again we hope you had a good time, because we did.
Peace
