My friend Walt sent this to me in an email, but I was able to find it on YouTube, so I thought I would share it here, since I think it's pretty funny...
In September, Angela went to New York City to celebrate her friend's birthday. Looking at the pictures, it looks like the girls had a good time. Fortunately, there was some kind of celebrity event going on and she got some pictures of famous people making their way on the red carpet. Unfortunately, she had to take her pictures from across the street, so you have to zoom in quite a bit to see the people. If you get a chance, ask Angela about getting into the Tenjune nightclub. (Sorry sweetie!)
September is the month of the York Fair, so Taylor and Mommy went down and had fun at the fair with "Aunt KeeKee" and Uncle Chad and her friends Caroline and Cannon. Later on in September, we went to Grampy's Camp again, despite the bad weather, we had a good time. Uncle Chris caught a bunch of fish.
In September we made our way back down to Ocean City to visit Uncle Todd and Chase at the beach. Taylor had a lot of fun the afternoon we went bowling, although she didn't want to let anybody else have a turn bowling.
The first weekend in October we had a garage sale. Our friends Amy, Gene, and Liam came over to sell their stuff too. Eventually our neighbors Jess and Brett brought their stuff over to our driveway so we could all hang out together. One stop shopping for all your yard sale quality knick-knacks! There was a 10% chance of rain on weather.com but eventually it turned out to be a 100% chance. We clipped a large tarp onto the rain gutter of our garage and used a couple of ladders for a makeshift awning.
I think we made about $90 at the end of the event. I can't speak for the other families, but I think we had a pretty good time, for a yard sale. At the end, a lot of our leftovers went to the curb, and later that night someone came when nobody was watching and left with almost all the curb junk. What was left went to the trash can.
Angela and I celebrated our 5th year anniversary on October 11th. After dropping Taylor off at Amy and Gene's we saw a movie called "Nights In Rodanthe" The movie wasn't too bad. It was a typical Nicholas Sparks inspired movie. After the movie, we had a wonderful dinner at Juliana's Italian restaurant in Mechanicsburg.
The following Sunday we went to Pumpkin Fest here in Enola at Adam Ricci Park. We ate a lot of food, funnel cake, an ice cream cone, hot dogs, a cheesesteak, .... After tooling around a bit, picking up free stuff at the Americhoice tent and the Members 1st tent, we went over to Imagination Station which Taylor absolutely loves. The only problem is you can't get her to leave there without a fight.
This past week we went to the Mechanicsburg Halloween parade. I think Taylor really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, Mechanicsburg holds their Halloween parade in the evening so it gets a little dark. We set ourselves up right at the beginning of the parade route which was good for some things and not so good for others. Bothered by exhaust fumes from the firetrucks idling in front of us, we eventually moved to the other side of the street. Next year, we'll have a better game plan. One of Angela's friends from work was in the parade; they decorated their car, an old Studebaker, with spooky stuff. You can see a short, grainy clip of their car in the videos section.
That wraps up this edition, but I'm sure I'll have more to add later, as it seems like our schedule is always full.
