Leash Your Dog Please

What’s the deal with people not having their dog on a leash? I understand if you have one of those underground electric fence systems. That is perfectly fine, as long as it works for your pooch. But since when is it acceptable for your dog to come running up to me and my dog or to my wife who is pushing our baby in the stroller? You’ll say something like, “It’s OK, my dog doesn’t bite.” To be honest, I don’t care if you think that your dog doesn’t bite. Maybe I don’t want your dog running up to me and being a pest. Maybe my dog isn’t going to respond well to some strange dog running up to us.

Technology Is A Cruel Master

I have told my wife that if we ever won the lottery, and I'm talking millions of dollars here, I wouldn't care if I ever used a computer again. She expressed her doubts. It is true; I really like all the different things that I can do with a computer. I can share pictures with my friends and family. I can edit videos taken with my digital camcorder and make them available through various means for home viewing or for sharing on the web. I can keep track of my finances. I can write little programs that make my life easier.

I love urgent emails.

I love people that send Urgent emails. You know what people I'm talking about. Every email you get from them is Urgent! So it's at the top of your email list with a big exclamation point. If you're really lucky the exclamation point is red. What these people have done is confused Urgent! with Important!
